Mont St-Michel Bay: birth of a new local association
22 December 2008
A fine initiative, which intends to become closer to the “Friends” of the bay located on either side of the Couenon, the small but famous river historically separating Brittany from Normandy and which divides the bay in half, leaving the Mont to the Normans much to the regret of the Bretons!
This association is born from the desire to bring people together on each side, following the successful example of the Canadians, with their Baie des Chaleurs (Chaleur Bay) association which brings together the people from the banks of Québec and New-Brunswick.
To mark the event, the World Club was represented by Bruno Bodard, the general secretary and Hervé Laigo, president of the Bay of Morbihan association which is its patron.
The President of this new association, Louis Thébault, will receive the pennant of the patron club in the company of the members of the board made up of Bretons and Normans.
