BAY OF CAMBODIA
Cambodia Bay is 440Km long situated in the southwest of the Kingdom of Cambodia and spreads over 4 provinces: Koh Kong province, Preah Sihanouk province, Kompot province, and Kep province with a total landmass of 18 480 square kilometers. Cambodia bay is located in the front part of Thai Coasts with an average depth of 45m, and 80m is the deepest.
Cambodia Coastal Area is influenced by Monsoon. Between November and March, wind direction and wave condition are affected from the northeast Monson, and starting from June to September it is effected from the southwest Monsoon. In addition, between April and October, this region is alternatively affected by two transitional Monsoons.
This region is covered with mixed environment such as: forest, river, agricultural land, the sea, and also filled with a variety of biodiversity, which has created ecological corridor. Moreover Cambodia Coastal Area possesses massive natural resource like: Mangrove forest, marine flora and fauna (coral reef, sea grass, various fisheries...)
